At the Val Gardena-Alpe di Siusi Cableway Consortium, safety on the slopes is a priority. Every day they check safety nets, posts, boundaries e signageto guarantee skiers and snowboarders a safe experience on all slopes, including the most challenging ones.
The surveillance of the slopes is carried out in close cooperation with the Carabiniericommitted to respect for the rules and prevention of risky behaviour. Carabinieri skiers, trained at the Selva di Val Gardena Alpine Training Centre, operate in the main Alpine and sub-Alpine areas throughout the winter season, reinforcing vigilance and rescue support.
The checks also cover fundamental aspects such as the use of helmets, the validity of insurance, the safety of equipment and the general condition of the slopes.
In the event of an accident, the Val Gardena-Alpe di Siusi Lift Consortium works together with the Red Cross and the mountain rescuersensuring fast and effective intervention even in complex situations.
Each company in the consortium is responsible for safety on their own slopes and checks the condition of nets, signs, safety devices and track conditions on a daily basis. These constant checks are essential to prevent accidents and protect skiers of all levels, including families.
Regular checks, constant vigilance and cooperation with law enforcement and rescue services provide a safer environment, where sport and fun coexist with prevention and respect for rules.
Safety on the slopes is a value shared by the entire consortium and those who work in the mountains every day.
Construction sites, maintenance, innovations: we write about what goes on behind the scenes in our valley every day. A way of showing off the ongoing commitment that keeps the mountain moving, season after season.
