The first phase concerns the snow management. When natural rainfall is insufficient, thesnowmakingproduction takes place in a controlled manner, optimising the use of water and adapting quantities to the needs of individual slopes. Continuous monitoring of the snow depth allows a stable base to be created, reducing wastage of resources.
Specialised operators, the so-called 'groomers', use snow groomers to shape and compact the snow, forming a solid and uniform base. Grooming is an essential step in ensuring durable and safe slopes throughout the ski season.
Over time, track preparation has become increasingly precise thanks to digital technologies. Today, the vehicles are equipped with GPS systems and sensors measuring in real time the snow depth and the position of the snow groomer. This data enables targeted interventions and more efficient management of each section of piste.
Grooming is carried out daily, at the end of the ski day. This operation eliminates irregularities created by the passage of skiers and promotes better compaction of the snow during the night, providing optimal surfaces for the following day.
Track preparation follows the rhythm of the seasons, but the commitment remains constant.
